My name is Seok Hyun Jin, but I just go by Jin.

I'm a software engineer working for Amazon. I'm currently working in Amazon Prime Air, a drone-based delivery system.

Previously, I worked for Amazon Web Services. I worked on launching two ML products under Amazon A.I.: Amazon Comprehend and Amazon Translate. Also, I briefly worked for AWS IoT Greengrass.

In 2016, I finished my studies in Computer Science at Cornell University with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree.

For about 3 years, I was actively involved in research in areas of
Machine Learning, Robot Learning, and Social Computing.

I was a research assistant under Prof. Ashutosh Saxena at the Cornell Robot Learning Lab working on the Robobarista project, which uses deep learning to enable robots to manipulate novel objects.

I also did research under Prof. David Mimno on the Chinese Voting Process project, which models online social behavior using probabilistic methods.

Also, I served as a teaching assistant for machine learning courses taught by Prof. Thorsten Joachims (2014) and Prof. Kilian Weinberger (2015).
